A ritual for you as a mother to be reborn, giving birth to yourself. You are not the same as before you gave birth and you will never be the same. Allowing yourself to give birth to the woman you are.

That's why these baths can be done even years after you gave birth if you did not do it at the time, you can still receive many benefits.

Postpartum plant baths are common in the ancient Mexican traditions, they are traditionally performed during the first 45 days after birth, starting about 15 days after birth, 25 days if you had a caesarean section. They can also be done any time after the 45 days have past. Ideally you will have 3 baths with approximately 1 week in-between.  The baths are a great support during the recovery that will help you ground the process of becoming a mother.

  • Helps in having a better and faster recuperation.

  • Eliminates accumulated toxins & líquid.

  • Helps the muscles, organs and bone structure go back to their place after having been expanded and moved during the pregnancy and vaginal birth or caesarean.

  • Favours the production of breast milk.

  • Reduces the stress and tiredness that can come with the postpartum time.

  • It favors the recovery of the mother

An ancient practice used by indigenous cultures all around the world. This is such a lovely practice that I love sharing. Herbs, flowers and tree bark are collected in a respectful and ritualistic manner with a deep honoring of the plant kingdom. The plants are ritualized and mixed together, a strong decoction of the plants are then added to the bathwater.

You can do the plant bath in a bathtub or if you don't have one you can buy a small plastic bathtub as the one on the picture.

Alternatively you can also receive the plants as a rinse after a shower.

A full body steam bath does also give similar effects. These 2 options may be prefered by women who had a caesarean section.

You will be accompanied during the whole process and taken care of with herbal teas and allowed a time to contemplate on the experience of giving birth and nourishing yourself.

A sacred ritual for the female organs and wellbeing.

  • After an abortion, miscarriage or childbirth, a plant vaporisation accelerates the recovery time of the perineal tissues and assists in recovering the muscle tone of the reproductive system.

This ancient technique is said to regulate menstruation, and ease menstruation cramps, among other things. A pot of hot water mixed with herbs are located under a chair with a hole in it, allowing the vapor to rise and be absorbed by the vaginal mucus membranes. The herbs are absorbed and goes straight to the uterus and into our bloodstream.

The blends I use for this purpose are made of wild flowers and herbs collected and prepared in a sacred manner, with gratitude and respect for the plant kingdom. You may also add a crystal of your choice to the water, I recommend amethyst or rose quartz.

It has several physical, emotional, spiritual and sexual benefits. Most importantly I find that the yoni steam allows us a moment to reconnect with ourselves and and our uterus and vagina, give our feminine part some nourishment and care so that we open up to a deeper connection to our womb space.

A postpartum Yoni steam contains specially selected healing plants and is to be used after the bleeding has stopped.

I also offer general recommendations for the postpartum time, talking about the importance of the 40-days after birth, diet and other traditional ways to take care after birth.

There is no better time to receive a massage than after birth, this massage relaxes the whole body and works a lot on the abdominal and womb area to assist in the organs finding their way back to the right place after pregnancy and birth. This massage also benefits those who have been thru miscarriage or abortion.
